Working with the seasons and the natural elements is a great way to harness the collective energy for our own benefit. Summer is connected to the Fire Element and the Heart Chakra. How many times do we hear about summer romances that seem to magically end at the start of Autumn? It's because our heart chakras are way more open during warm and sunny months due to the abundance of sunlight and photonic light particles in the atmosphere. The energy available to us during the summer months supports natural expansion, spiritual cleansing, inner joy and the activation of love within our hearts.

 

Here are some powerful ways to leverage this summer's energy for easy energetic clearing and continued expansion…

 


1. Sunlight as a Natural Cleanser

The sun offers free and clean energy in ample abundance. In fact, it gives more energy than us humans could ever possibly use. Sunlight acts as a powerful environmental signal that helps synchronize and regulate a wide array of biological and physiological processes essential for our health and well-being, just think of our bodies as living-breathing solar panels. The sun also embodies the energy of fire and is Yang-masculine in essence. It is the primary source of vital energy on Earth and is necessary for the existence of all life here. Without it, our planet would be barren and would not be able to host life. That's how important the sun is! When working with several clients over time, I have often observed a sudden strength appear in their energy field and when I ask what they are doing different, they tell me they are spending regular time in the sun. Sunlight helps to form an invisible barrier shield of energy around your physical body.

 

How to do it:

-Spending 10-15 minutes in direct sunlight (especially early morning or golden hour) offers your energetic light body a “Glow Up”. Allow sunlight to touch your bare skin, use minimal clothing and no sunblock. Breathe the light in gently through each of your chakras (front and back of the spine) and it will infuse your energy body with prana and life force.

 

-You may also choose to Sungaze during sunrise or sunset. When done with caution, this practice can awaken the pineal gland and help to clear mental fog.

 

2. Water Healing & Renewal

Water is often associated with spiritual renewal and can facilitate a deeper connection with nature and one's inner self. In many cultures and religions, water is used in rituals to cleanse and purify, both physically and spiritually.

 

How to do it:

-Swim in natural bodies of water. Water holds cleansing and recalibrating properties. Seawater, due to its high salt content naturally cleanses away stagnant energy while springs hold a high mineral content nourishing your physical and spiritual bodies.

 

-If you can't make it to a natural body of water, try making your own salt bath. You can use Celtic or sea salt, baking soda, Epsom salts, and a few drops of essential oils like lavender or rosemary to clear out energetic residue.

 

-Hydrate with intention. Infuse water with sunlight, light codes and affirmations. Use crystals like Lemurian or clear quartz and amethyst in your drinking water for energetic alignment. Quartz is a master crystal and will help awaken your multi-dimensional self, while amethyst is great for working with your intuition, dreams and the subconscious. Also, try adding seasonal fruits like watermelon or strawberries for extra hydration.

 

3. Forest Bathing & Grounding

Walking in nature has been shown to reduce stress levels and lower the production of stress hormones like cortisol. Spending time in nature boosts our mood and helps to reduce anxiety and depression. Studies also suggest that it can even improve cognitive function, giving us better focus and memory. Trees release something called phytoncides, which are antimicrobial volatile organic compounds that can strengthen the immune system. Research shows that forest bathing can contribute to overall physical and mental health promoting a sense of calm and relaxation by helping to reset your energy and nervous system.

 

How to do it:

-Immerse yourself in nature for at least 20 minutes. No destination needed, the purpose of this is to simply allow yourself to come to a State of B•E•I•N•G by absorbing the forest's energy. Pause, touch, reflect and breathe. Actively notice sounds and take in the smells and textures. Slow down, breathe deeply and connect your body to the pulse of life buzzing through the forest.

 

-Walk barefoot on grass or soil to discharge electromagnetic buildup and reconnect to Earth's frequency.

 

-Lie on the ground with palms open and feel your heartbeat sync with the heartbeat of the Earth.

 

-Hug a tree and allow your third eye to open to the wisdom of the forest, elemental spirits and Devas.

 

-If you can't get out to nature or a forest, try tending to a garden or caring for plants. Working with plants helps to regulate your nervous system and deepen intuitive connection.

 

Each day, whether we realize it or not, we are in constant relationship with nature. When we align with the natural cycles and the natural world, we begin to realign with our true nature and Spirit, and our awareness begins to connect to the very sources and forces that sustain us.


Take time off the screen and be intentional with your life and your energy. Allow every breath of air, every sip of water, every bite of food to be a sacred exchange, and let it serve as a living reminder of your deep interconnection with the firmament beneath your feet and every living being on it. Give yourself time to recharge your body and soul.
